With the three optical measuring channels of the SILAREX NDIR sensors from smartGAS, up to three gas concentrations can be measured in parallel with a single sensor and from the same gas sample. A fourth channel serves as an optical reference. The cross-sensitivities of the parallel measurements are calculated directly inside the SILAREX sensor. smartGAS now offers selected versions of the SILAREX multi-channel sensors on the European market as standard. For emission monitoring, one SILAREX version is available for measuring carbon dioxide, nitrogen monoxide and sulphur dioxide. There are also two-channel versions for the determination of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. They are particularly suitable for use in industrial production plants, combined heat and power plants and power stations.
The SILAREX sensors operate with supply voltages of 10 to 27 VDC and a flow rate of 0.1 to 1.0 l/min. The average power consumption is approx. 7 W (@24 V) including on-board heating for temperature stabilisation. For the development of the respective measurement solution, smartGAS offers the joint implementation of project and adaptation development on a SILAREX basis. The customer thus receives a sensor system that is optimally matched to his requirements and whose design-in requires as few compromises as possible compared to "off-the-shelf" sensors.
