smartGAS offers two new measuring ranges for SF6 sensors

The non-dispersive infrared sensors (NDIR) from smartGAS combine measurement accura-cy with compact design and easy handling. With a diffusion sensor for room air monitoring up to 200 ppm and an analytical sensor for leak detection up to 5,000 ppm, smartGAS is ex-panding its portfolio for measuring sulphur hexafluoride in gas-insulated high power systems.

Like all smartGAS sensors, the diffusion sensors for ambient air monitoring from the BASICEVO series are characterized by low detection limits, low drift, a wide temperature range as well as a fast response time and low maintenance. Here, the product range has now been extended to include the measuring range of 200 ppm, rounding it off at the lower end for more accurate measurements.
The new compact and lightweight FLOWEVO SF6 sensor with a measuring range of 5,000 ppm is used in portable gas meters or stationary SF6 detection devices for discontinuous or continuous measurement of SF6 leaks. This means that even larger leaks can now be local-ized directly at the point of leakage. It can also be used as a central sensor for room air monitoring. The two new NDIR sensors can also be easily integrated into existing measurement systems via plug-and-play.
