smartgas high voltage 400

SF6 sensor (sulfurhexafluoride) IR sensors for the detection and measurement of SF6 insulation gas and SF6 leak detection in switchgears.

smartGAS, the leading manufacturer of infra red gas sensors (NDIR), produces the right sensor for the measurement of  SF6 (sulfur hexafluoride).

sf-6-sensor

SF6 workplace safety - TLV

Ideal for workplace safety (gas storage, substation, power plants, switchgear. etc.), the diffusion SF6 sensor can be used to check for SF6 / sulfur hexafluoride at 1000 ppm (TLV monitoring), ACG. As SF6 is heavier than air, monitoring of lower air space with smartGAS SF6 sensors is strongly recommended as protection against asphyxiation.

SF6 leak detection – SF6 emissions detection

SF6 gas detection in a gas insulated system, gas insulated cable or high voltage switch gear is easy with smartGAS SF6 sensors. With their high sensitivity and low detection threshold of max. 1 ppm, the smartGAS  50ppm SF6 sensor is a reliable detector of SF6 leaks. Handy size and low weight means the 50ppm SF6 sensor can be used as a portable SF6 leak detection device for SF6 leak detection.

SF6 monitor of SF6 gas quality - IEC 60480 - with smartGAS IR sensors

Monitoring SF6 purity of SF6 gas filling in switchgear can be checked with the smartGAS 100 Vol.-% sensor. The wide measuring range from 0 – 100% and linearity across the entire range make these devices the 100% SF6 sensor the sensor of choice for SF6 analysis in high quality SF6 HV switchgear. SF6 analysis in MV switchgear and HV switchgear is simply and reliable with the 100 % sensor for SF6 monitoring.

SF6 greenhouse gas detection

SF6 (sulfurhexafluoride) is an Insulation gas that has an effect on global warming approximately 24,000 stronger than CO2. This is why it has been included in the SF6 Kyoto Protokoll, which strictly regulates its use. smartGAS sensors help you play an active role in SF6 environmental protection, in workplace safety, SF6 emissions avoidance and compliance with environmental regulations when working with this insulating gas.
